Meet Our SP Class!

Hi Readers! Thank you so much for checking out our blog, it really means a lot to our class as a whole. We are excited to share our experiences throughout the semester with you and hope that you learn a little something too!

Our professor is sometimes known for her class photos and always asking for a funny one. However, we think that this turned out well and it is the perfect opportunity to introduce the students! This class can include a variety of emotions at times, but at the end of the day we are all just people who love philanthropy. This opportunity is one of a lifetime, so stay tuned to find out more about our journey!

This is our first blog post from the 2017 Strategic Philanthropy class at UWGB. We are very excited to start sharing our experience with you! As we embark on our semester-long course, we want to introduce you to the Learning By Giving Foundation that provided us this once in a lifetime opportunity, which can be found at www.learningbygivingfoundation.org/. As a class, we receive a $10,000 grant to donate to a local nonprofit organization or public corporation of our choosing. There are rules that we have to follow, but aside from the guidelines, we are free to follow where our strategic instincts take us. The process we will go through will be outlined more in our future blog posts, so please come back for more!
